Eagle’s Wings Housing Cooperative Society convened its Second Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 22 April 2017 at Christian Church International Grounds, inside Koinonia Hall. The meeting brought together more than thirty members who gathered to review the society’s progress, receive official reports, and discuss future initiatives.
Reports from Leadership
During the session, members received the Auditor’s Report along with presentations from the leadership of the cooperative. The Management Committee Chairman, Rev. Simon Kabocho, delivered an update on operational progress and ongoing projects. A supervisory report was also presented by Gatu W. Mwangi, Chair of the Supervisory Committee, outlining oversight activities and accountability measures. Members actively engaged in the meeting by raising questions on project development, financial updates, and future opportunities. The leadership team responded to the queries, ensuring clarity on the society’s operations and plans.
Key Project Updates
Several major updates were shared during the AGM regarding the society’s property development projects.
Isiolo Phase One Plots Sold Out
Members were informed that all plots under Phase One in Isiolohad been fully allocated. The value of the properties has increased following the opening of Isiolo International Airport, which has enhanced the region’s investment appeal. Members with outstanding balances were encouraged to complete their payments promptly to avoid additional charges.
Phase Two – Eagle’s Paradise 1
The project located in the Kambi Mawe area still had approximately 35 plots available, priced at Ksh. 250,000 for members and Ksh. 270,000 for non-members. The society also announced a collaboration with Agribest, which had begun establishing greenhouse farming on site.
Through this partnership, members were offered an opportunity to invest in agribusiness ventures at Ksh. 248,000, covering insurance and legal costs for a three-year cycle. The investment structure allowed participating members to receive returns every six months, subject to operational costs such as inputs and maintenance.
Phase Three – Eagle’s Paradise (Ngobit)
Another development project was introduced at Ngobit, located about 3.5 kilometers from the Nyeri–Nyahururu Highway. The introductory price for members was set at Ksh. 200,000 per plot. Members could secure a plot by placing a Ksh. 100,000 booking deposit, with the balance payable within six months. The land was also identified as suitable for future agribusiness activities.
Members were also informed that the Eagle’s Wings Housing Estate Management Agency had commenced operations. The initiative aims to support property management and marketing services while offering members an opportunity to earn commissions by referring new clients to the agency. As the meeting concluded, members with outstanding payments were encouraged to regularize their accounts. The society reaffirmed its commitment to exploring new initiatives that support member growth and investment opportunities. Members were also urged to continue promoting the cooperative’s projects and services within their networks to expand its reach and strengthen its market presence.
